That's what really surprised me about our last presbytery meeting in November. At that meeting we approved our 2010 budget.
This was the 21st budget vote I attended in this presbytery. This was the FIRST without debate, discussion, or amendments!
Is it possible that we're at a different place as a presbytery?
I once read that congregations without clear mission argue over money (and other insignificant things).
Perhaps meeting for more important reasons, such as helping to develop better leadership for congregations, has changed us more than we realize.

I Learned A Lot!
Saturday's presbytery meeting dealing with the subject of Technology & Ministry was very helpful and thought-provoking!
With all of the social-networking in our culture today, I wondered about what the church would look like in 10 years. Would the connections between Christians become all virtual? What role will Sunday worship play?
These are some of the interesting thoughts I've been thinking since.
I wish to give a special thanks to the folks who lead our workshops on technology. Bless you.

Technology & Ministry
On November 14th (Saturday morning) we meet again as a presbytery. Our theme will be Technology & Ministry. As we did in September, this meeting will feature ministry workshops.
The good news is that we will offer eight SUPER workshops. The bad news is that you will be able to attend only two!
This did stop one church at our last meeting ...that congregation sent a delegation of folks to cover all of the workshops!
I have added a list of our workshop subjects. Check these out and consider bringing someone with you!
